Northfield Twonship Property Tax Review

Cook County Board of Review Open for Northfield Township Property Tax Appeals: September 22 - October 21, 2025

The Cook County Board of Review (BOR) is open for Northfield Township 2025 property tax appeals (taxes paid in 2026). This is the second opportunity for Township residents to appeal their 2025 triennial reassessment. As part of resident taxpayer services, Northfield Township Assessor staff can review residents’ 2025 assessment and help file an appeal.

Residents can email Northfield Township Assessor staff at: propertytaxhelp@northfieldtownship.com for a review of their assessed value and will receive comparable data with a guideline on how to appeal online. If preferred, residents can make an in-person or telephone appointment to review their assessment and receive help filing an appeal. To make an appointment, visit: tinyurl.com/BORtaxassist2025 or call (847)724-8300 x2.

The Cook County Assessor (CCA) released the results of appeals made to their office for the 2025 property re-assessments. If residents appealed to the CCA, they should have received a result letter in the mail. Residents can verify these results at: cookcountyassessor.com. If residents did not appeal with the Cook County Assessor, or feel their property is not being assessed equitably, they can file an appeal with the BOR.

Condominium owners may want to check with their homeowners association (HOA) to see if they are appealing the assessed value on behalf of all the owners in their development.

The last day for Northfield Township residents to file 2025 appeals with the Cook County Board of Review is October 21, 2025.
