If I Built a Town: Saturday Storytime with Chris Van Dusen at The Book Stall

Join us at The Book Stall (811 Elm Street in Winnetka) on Saturday, October 11 at 10:30 am for a very special storytime featuring bestselling children's author and illustrator Chris Van Dusen! He'll be showcasing his illustrations with a drawing demo and sharing his new picture book, If I Built a Town. It has been 20 years since the classic If I Built a Car was published, and now here's a companion read-aloud that's even more joyful and inventive! Jack's over-the-top creativity and infectious enthusiasm will inspire budding young inventors. It's a story time romp that you'll want to return to again and again. This book is perfect for kids ages 4 to 8.

More about the Author: Chris Van Dusen is the author and illustrator of many highly acclaimed picture books, including The Circus Ship and the hugely popular Mercy Watson series. The first book in this series, If I Built a Car, won the E.B. White Read-Aloud Award, and the most recent, If I Built a School, is a New York Times bestseller. Chris and his wife have two sons and live in Camden, Maine, with their pup.
