Local businesses look forward to celebrating the relaunch of Northfield at Northfield Fest on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with lots of fun activities for the day.
Festival Highlights include:
9 a.m. - A Fun Walk from the Farmers’ Market, 6 Happ Rd., across from the Northfield campus of New Trier High School to the Town Center.
10 am. - An Opening Ceremony on the triangle at the south side of Village Hall, at Orchard Lane and Happ Road. Speakers will include Village President Fred Gougler, as well as State Rep. Robyn Gabel. State Sen. Daniel Biss has been invited.
10 a.m. -5 p.m. Treasure Map Open House, in which local businesses plan to offer special promotions and activities.
5 p.m. – 10 p.m. Meet and Eat. Local restaurants will have their own offerings, including live music and special menus.
In addition, a photography exhibit of historical Northfield is on view at the Northfield Public Library, 1785 Orchard Lane.
