About Us
Gilded Travels is a Northfield-based boutique travel agency that designs custom trips for couples, families, and private friend groups across the Mediterranean, Japan, and Patagonia. Every itinerary is built from scratch around how you actually want to travel.
Founder Steven Callas spent years producing Hollywood film productions across multiple countries before starting Gilded Travels. That background lives in every trip he plans: the contingency built into the ferry connection or the backup day already mapped out when Patagonia weather shuts down a glacier excursion.
Steven holds specialist certifications from the tourism boards of Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, and Japan, and is a Virtuoso network member with preferred access at properties worldwide. Gilded Travels is also a member of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.
The clients tend to be North Shore families coordinating a trip across multiple generations, couples planning a honeymoon or milestone anniversary, and close friend groups that want the logistics handled by someone other than whoever got stuck running the group chat.
