Join our stimulating short-story reading group this autumn,
as we read The Best American Short Stories of the Century,
edited by John Updike and Katrina Kenison. Each decade
of the 20th century is equally represented, and these next
eight stories are masterpieces of the late 70s and 80s. They
will generate lively discussion and yield insights into the
American psyche after the turbulent 60s and the Vietnam
