The Studio Grand Opening Celebration at Winnetka Library
A space for creativity and innovation, dedicated to promoting the arts,
in memory of Constance E. Staffileno
A grand opening celebration for The Studio, a creative and tech art space, is scheduled for 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 26 at the Winnetka Library, 768 Oak Street in Winnetka. The event will include a tour of the space, as well as demonstrations of The Studio's features and equipment. Attendees of all ages can make creative projects that day, and be among the first to create something in the space. Special giveaways with The Studio logo will be available that day while supplies last.
The Studio was designed to inspire art enthusiasts and innovators. Located in the lower level of the Winnetka Library, The Studio is home to both traditional and digital art equipment, with creative programs that educate and inspire the community.
The Studio features 3D printers, a vinyl cutter, laser engraver, poster printer and traditional art tools such as paint and canvas, photography backdrops and lighting, machines for sewing and embroidery and tools to make jewelry.
The Studio was made possible by a generous gift given to the Library from the Staffileno Family, in order that the library create a space to honor the memory of Constance E. Staffileno. The Studio was created to embody Mrs. Staffileno's love for art and art education. The Library Foundation was instrumental in bringing this project to fruition.
