14th Annual Samuel Thaviu Memorial Concert Featuring the Tourmaline Quartet

The Tourmaline Quartet consists of David Taylor, first violin; Cornelius Chiu, second violin; Rami Solomonow, viola; and Gary Stucka, of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, cello. The concert features “Quartet in G Major, K. 387” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, “Italian Serenade” by Hugo Wolf, and “Frederick Stock Quartet in C Minor, Op. 6.”

The Thaviu Family presents this concert annually to honor Samuel Thaviu (1909-2000), who was the husband of Elly Thaviu, a North Shore Senior Center member and volunteer.
