The Route 424 path through Winnetka takes the same path as Route 423. However\, Route 423 currently has a 30-minute peak service and 60-minute off-peak service. The new Route 424 is proposed to operate at 60-minute intervals all day between 6:05 a.m. and 10:12 p.m. So compared to Route 423\, Route 424 would operate less frequently in the peak but there would be an improvement in the span (it would operate later). \n\n\n\n\n\nPace is seeking public input on proposed service changes resulting from the North Shore Transit Service Coordination Plan and Market Analysis\, a joint study completed in 2017 by Pace and CTA. The goal of the Plan is to improve coordination of transit services in North Cook County and to update the public transportation network to better serve high demand travel markets. The restructured network\, proposed to be implemented in August 2020\, includes proposed changes to five routes: 215\, 225\, 226\, 422\, and 423\; the addition of one new route: 424\; and the discontinuation of two routes: 210 and 421. \n\n \n\nPace is holding six public hearings throughout North Cook County to get input from stakeholders on the proposed service changes.
