He is the editor of the 2016 textbook MacMillan Interdisciplinary Handbooks in Philosophy: Medical Ethics (Gale Cengage Press) and the 2008/2013 book Ethical Issues in Rural Health (John Hopkins University Press). He was the producer of the movie A Cure for Dying.\n\nHe is the recipient of the 2014 Texas Exes Dis nguished Alumni Award in Medicine & Biology (Chicago).
