Chicagoland's Official Planning Agency _Workshop
Chicagoland’s official planning agency is looking for your big ideas on what the region should look like – and how it could get there – in 2050. The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) is drawing up a new regional plan, called ON TO 2050. CMAP is conducting extensive public engagement to shape this plan around five Alternative Futures: Changed Climate, Walkable Communities, Innovative Transportation, Constrained Resources, and Transformed Economy. Each has distinct factors that will significantly shape our region for decades to come. Join the Village of Wilmette and CMAP for a public workshop to discuss ON TO 2050 and the Alternative Futures at the Village Council Chambers (1200 Wilmette Ave.) and share your thoughts on how planning today can help shape the future of the region. CMAP will carefully consider all input while drafting the comprehensive regional plan prior to its adoption in October 2018. Visit http://www.cmap.illinois.gov/onto2050/futures for more information.
